Broadway playwright Terrence McNally dies of coronavirus complications

LOS ANGELES Tony award-winning playwright Terrence McNally, known for performs like “Love! Valour! Compassion! ” as well as for musical type of “Kiss of the Spider Woman, ” died on Tuesday involving complications linked to the coronavirus, his consultant said.

Matt Polk said McNally, 80, died in a hospital around Florida. The Broadway movie theater veteran was a lung tumor survivor only to have lived along with a chronic respiratory condition.

McNally’s career spanned six decades, covering plays, musicals and operas. It ranged from AIDS a movie “Lips Together, Teeth Apart, ” to help domestic crisis “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, ” and the level musical version of video “The Full Monty. ”

He was presented a lifetime achievements award within the 2019 Tony Awards wedding ceremony in New York, adding to this four they received for “Love! Valour! Compassion, ” “Master Class” and the books of the musical versions of “Ragtime” in addition to “Kiss of the Spider Woman. ”

McNally is made it by the husband, company Tom Kirdahy.

Broadway movies building have been closed since March 12 because of restrictions targeted at preventing often the spread or perhaps coronavirus.
