England’s chief medical officer says there is a global shortage of coronavirus tests
LONDON There is a global scarcity of coronavirus exams, causing a “bottleneck”, England’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty said on Wednesday.
“We have no sufficient tests and this is really a global problem because quite simply every land is desiring this new test, for a disease that wasn’t truly being analyzed for at any place three months back, ” Whitty said at a daily news conference.
“So everybody wants this particular, so there is a global absence and that’s a good bottleneck for people like us. ”
