Attorney General seeks to expand home confinement as more inmates contract coronavirus

WASHINGTON U. S. Attorney General William Barr stated Thursday he’s directed this federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to help expand its use of home confinement regarding inmates around appropriate cases, as the coronavirus has continued to distributed in the federal government prison system.

A total associated with six inmates and four jail staffers have tested beneficial for COVID-19, Barr explained, adding the fact that several national facilities including two in New York City are now on lock-down as a result.
